A Life of Multitasking

In our modern life today, hurrying and rushing about have become a regular way of life. People are using a word to describe our respond to all these demands on our time by Multitasking. Used to describe the ability of using some tasks at the same time, as quickly as it’s possible. Multitasking’s concept began from computers, which refers to perform multiple tasks at the same time. In computers, multitasking refers to running more than one software in a time. Multitasking in some cases is helpful and helps us to save time, but in the other hand, it might cause some damages, which can affect our life. In human context, multitasking is the practice of doing multiple tasks together such as editing a draft while we are listening to music.
First of all, multitasking makes us feel good. If we Study with our open book in front of the TV and responding to our friend’s texts once in while, it gives us a great feeling. We are doing all these things at once and it gives us an incredible feeling. It might seem fantastic from outside but the result we get is definitely worse than people who don’t multitask. So we put a lot of pressure onto ourselves to do more tasks at once while it decreases our results.
Multitasking, in some parts mostly, is about attention. We can do multiple task at once without affecting the result. Some people think that listening to music while we are doing our homework is multitask, but it’s not. According to Stanford Professor Clifford Nass who mentions: “in the case of music, it's a little different. We have a special part of our brain for music, so we can listen to music while we do other things.” Listening to music helps a lot of people to focus and get rid of all the noises around them. Also I have an experience at work. When customers come to the store and ask for their order, I can help them and tell my cow-workers what to do.
